Is it compulsory to opt for maths in HSC in order to pursue B.Com (Hons) from DU?

Yes, it is now. DU has in near past announced for compulsion of maths.

I have 5 subjects and 1 additional subject, what will happen if I fail in maths and pass in my additional subject? Can I pursue B.Com (Hons)?
