    No, its not compulsory to pursue Masters degree in dual degree course. You can check on the terms & conditions of the admission process. The only advantage here is that after graduation one need not get into the hassle of preparing & appearing for CAT and going through the entire process of seeking admission a fresh.
    In a recent policy decision the UGC has also said that they are not in favor of such dual degree courses that are run by institutes & that such course don't stand as recognized courses.
