    Yes, after merging of IIT and AIEE, all the colleges require JEE mains scores for admission.

    Yes, if you want to take admission in a government engineering college, you need to qualify JEE Mains exam. It is also necessary for getting admission in few of the private engineering colleges.

    Yes, it is. Basically these entrance exams are conducted so that creamy students are filtered. That is why they are accepted by most prestigious institutions. In order to get a good college you have to clean them. In case you don't want to then there is other way out. Enroll in a normal college and polish any technology. You will land up in a good job.
