Is it compulsory to qualify MAT entrance exam in order to pursue MBA?

It depends on the college you wish to take admission in. If you want admission in a good college then it is compulsory to clear any of the exams among CAT, MAT, XAT, CET, NMAT etc. -
MBA Admission without MAT or any other entrance exam is possible but it is mandatory for candidates to fulfill the MBA eligibility criteria to get direct admission to a UGC/AICTE-approved university or college. -

MAT is one of the MBA entrance exams other than CAT, XAT, NMAT, IIFT, TISS, GMAT, college's own entrance test, etc. You have to clear any of these entrance exams to get admission in a good MBA college.
