Is it compulsory to qualify the NATA exam in order to take admission in B.Arch?

    Hello Sahiba, being an alumni of Lovely Professional University, I can guide you based on the eligibility criteria mentioned by LPU.
    Qualifying in NATA is one of the eligibility criteria but not mandatory as at the same time if any body do possess valid score card in JEE Main (Paper II) or State Level Test, then also the student is eligible to take admission in this course in LPU.
    B.Arch course at LPU is C.O.A approved professional degree offering elite architectural education.

    I am an alumnus of LPU. I have spent 4 to 5 years at LPU so I know about LPU. As I have many friends from different programmes also I have worked there in a part-time job in admissions. Yes, the NATA exam or JEE Main Paper-II is compulsory to take admission in B.Arch at Lovely Professional University. Let me share the eligibility criteria for admission to B.Arch at LPU. The HNGU NATA Cutoff 2024 was released for admission to the BArch course for both the AI and HS quota. As per the HNGU Cutoff 2024 for the General AI category, the cutoff in the last round was 31049.

On the other hand for the General HS category, the last round cutoff was 11429 for the same course. Considering the cutoff of the last round for both quotas, we can say that the competition is higher for the General HS category. 

Note: This is the cutoff for the General category in the last round, other categories and rounds will have different cutoffs.

No, you can't get admission in Dev Bhoomi School of Architecture, Planning and Design BArch course without NATA. The university accepts students for the other courses on a merit basis. But, if you want to enrol in the BArch course, NATA is mandatory.

Yes, NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 is compulsory for Architecture, and is generally mandatory for admission to most recognised B.Arch) programs in India, as per Council of Architecture (CoA) regulations, to assess aptitude for the course. While NATA covers a broad range of colleges, prestigious institutions like some IITs and NITs might use JEE Main Paper 2.

The MSU Baroda NATA Cutoff was released for admission to the BArch course. The NATA Cutoff 2024 was 31005 for the General category candidates under the All India quota. For the Gender candidates in the Home State quota, the BArch cutoff 2024 was 11076

For the OBC AI candidates, students faced a last round cutoff of 31402, and for the OBC HS students, the last round cutoff was 11233. For more information, students can click here
