Is it compulsory to score above 90% marks in class 12 board for admissions in IIMA or XLRI?

No it is not, u need 99%ile in cat exams to get a call from top colleges like iim, they have 10% weightage on academic score, which means if u score 90% in 10th 12th u will get 9/10. it doesnt make much difference how much u score in 10th 12th.
