Is it difficult to get admitted to the University of Basel?

<p>The University of Basel has regularly been ranked among the &lt;a href="https://www.shiksha.com/studyabroad/top-100-universities-in-the-world-articlepage-2677"&gt;top 100 universities in the world&lt;/a&gt; list over the years and charges only a minimal tuition fee to its students. For these reasons, the university receives a large number of applications every year and thus follows strong selection criteria. This makes the University of Basel very selective in terms of shortlisting students and therefore it becomes tough for students to get into this university.</p>
