    Securing seats in government MDS colleges can be difficult due to high competition and various factors like:

    Limited Seats: Compared to private colleges, there are noticeably less government MDS places available. 

    Students are required to get top scores in NEET MDS to have a good chance getting into government MDS colleges.

    High demand in specific cpecialisations: Specialisations like Orthodontics, Prosthodontice and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are highly sought after for.

    Government MDS colleges in prime locations are preferred and thus competition for those colleges are significantly higher compared to other colleges.
