Is it easy or tough to appear for IELTS exam?

<p>The difficulty of IELTS examination is neither easy nor extremely tough. It depends upon the preparation level of the candidate. Each section focuses on one aspect. The examination has four sections - Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Each section focuses on candidate's Ability in targeting the required operation in English Language. Let's discuss about the difficulty level of each section individually:&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Speaking -&nbsp; Candidates tend to deviate from topic while speaking in the examination, this should be kept in mind.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Listening focuses on candidate's detail to attention to absorb what is asked and answering that accordingly.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Writing requires the candidates to complete the asked tasks and write the answers in a time frame with a formal / informal (whatever is asked) manner in English Language.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Reading Section is the most challenging among all four for most candidates. It is recommended to read various books to familiar with the vocabulary.&nbsp;</p><p>If all these points are kept in mind, it won't be extremely difficult for the Candidates to ace in the IELTS Examination.</p>

Hi, If you have studied English as part of School/University, and can comfortably handle language in everyday situations, IELTS is not challenging at all. However, preparation is the key. Because it involves understanding format and exam rules. Also you should know why exactly you are taking up the exam as it will help you GET an idea about the minimum eligibility for overall IELTS and each of the categories of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You might want to move to another country, or do your studies etc. Minimum eligibility varies based on reason, country and college too sometimes. Take about 3 months - 5 months to prepare thoroughly. The idea is to be in regular touch with the exam with weekly exhausting practices rather than just giving it 5 months overall.
