The admission procedure of DYPU SHTS BSc is straight forward. It admit candidates to the UG programme based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Hence, candidates scores in Class 12 or equivalent examination are taken into consideration for final selection. Students who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, i.e., Class 12 with 35% to 50% aggregate (depending on chosen specialisation) can proceed with the application formalities. After form submission, it is scanned by the authorities and then seat allotment is done following document verification and fee payment.

The eligibility for the B.Sc in Hospitality Studies is that the candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed Class XII (10+2) in any stream (Science, Commerce, and Humanities) or equivalent examination passed from any recognized board or equivalent government-approved diploma (10+3) from a recognized educational board. The candidate should have passed with a minimum of 50% Marks (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
