<p>Admission to the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Gangtok is competitive and based on a written test and an interview. The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in both the test and interview.&nbsp;</p><p>Eligibility:-</p><p>To be eligible for a degree or Diploma program, you must have passed Class 12 from any stream.&nbsp;</p><p>To be eligible for a Craftsmanship course, you must have passed Class 10.&nbsp;</p><p>You must be under 25 years of age as of July 1.&nbsp;</p><p>You must submit a certificate of physical fitness from a registered medical practitioner.&nbsp;</p><p>You must have passed the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects.&nbsp;</p><p>Selection process:-</p><p>You must pass a written test in English.</p><p>You must attend a personal interview.</p><p>The selection list is displayed on the Institute's notice board.</p><p>Selected candidates must pay fees and complete all formalities within 7 days.</p>

The upper age limit is set at 22 years for General category students and 25 years for SC/ST students. For Diploma courses admissions are based on merit from previous qualifying exams and with a english test</p>
