University College of Engineering is not very selective compared to the standard set by some other engineering institutions. KCET score is considered for admission to the college and the cutoff ranks are between 1,500 to 10,000. The cutoff for UG courses for 2023 was as follows: Computer Science of 2,150 and Mechanical of 4,150 vocational. M.Tech or PG courses need GATE scores, the maximum and minimum scores range from 300 to 500. The college has an intake capacity of 360 students for Undergraduate and 150 for post graduate courses.
