Is it easy to get admission in University College of Engineering?

<p>University College of Engineering is not very selective compared to the standard set by some other engineering institutions. KCET score is considered for admission to the college and the cutoff ranks are between 1,500 to 10,000. The cutoff for UG courses for 2023 was as follows: Computer Science of 2,150 and Mechanical of 4,150 vocational. M.Tech or PG courses need GATE scores, the maximum and minimum scores range from 300 to 500. The college has an intake capacity of 360 students for Undergraduate and 150 for post graduate courses. It must be noted that universities and colleges can be applied for, but do not guarantee the candidate admission since the seats filled are also on the basis of merit and availability of the seats.</p>

<p>Admission to the University College of Engineering is highly competitive but not beyond one's control. TS EAMCET entrance examination qualifies a student, and the general categories must hold at least 36%. Cut-off ranks are remarkably different as per the courses selected, as certain branches demand a better rank than others. <strong>Direct admission is not available</strong>. Counseling process, however centralizes admissions based on performance scores in the entrance examinations. In general, securing a spot is not easy, but motivation and eligibility ensure this accessibility for students.</p>
