Is it fair for B-schools to allow back door entry students when they are not very likely to cope up with the high pressure MBA program?

    We can't decide whether they can cope up with the high pressure system or not.
    Management quota should not be focused on while preparing for the CAT exam. Colleges offer admission on merit, but few seats are left for management quota which are kind of risk management by colleges. There would be certainly some section of the society which lives on management quota that is the students get admission through management quota only. The fees for such students are almost doubled as compared to normal students.

    Students getting admission into business schools through entrance exams and government norms may feel that such backdoor entry to students is wrong, but it is not. There are reasons for everything and some things need to exist for the good. Backdoor entry here refers to quotas through which some students get admission into a college, I suppose. A college needs funds to run the college, provide a good academic environment, hire the best faculty and many other things. So, to cope up with all these necessities, they take entry through such quotas and earn money. The money is used for the welfare of the college.

    I think you are missing the point of management quota all together.
    Both the parties have their own selfish interests. The student who couldn't get into the college through entrance exam wants an easy way in. For this he uses his parent's money and influence to get in.
    On the other hand the college just want to make some extra bucks (actually a lot of extra bucks).
    So both parties know what they are getting into and compromise on something for it. The college compromises on quality of students entering the MBA program and the student knows that he will be studying with meritorious students who got in through scoring in entrance exams and
