Of Course, the right time to start your preparations for GATE is the pre-final year. Final Years and result awaited cases can appear for GATE. But still, you will be able to maintain academic continuity.

9 years agoDear don't worry about percentage. In the find year you can improve your percentage by getting good grade in your project work. GATE is beneficial in many ways, you may get admission in M.Tech in premium colleges like IITs or you may get a dream job in PSU or CSIR as a scientist or also it's boost your confidence while showing your resume to interviewer :) -
Yes, GATE will add an advantage for you to join good Government companies. Go for it.
Basic eligibility conditions are as follows:
1. Bachelors degree holders in Engineering/ Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc/ Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
NOTE: If a candidate is pursuing any higher degree or already obtained a degree higher than that mentioned in the above table, then the candidate can select the relevant minimum required qualifying degree while filling the application form.
