Is it good to choose mechanical branch in NIT, Rourkela? My JEE Main rank is 9399 and belong to general category.

If you have home state quota, you will get a seat in Mechanical branch. Otherwise, it is highly unlikely that you will get a seat in mechanical in the preliminary rounds of counselling. However, after the preliminary rounds, there is option for internal sliding and there is also an option of branch
