If it is a very reputed college then you may take any branch. If it is not a very popular college then take CS branch and get hands-on coding seriously. Then after joining any private job in local cities, go to Bangalore. Work hard.

It all depends on you and interest in education and specialisation. More than 100 engineering colleges in the country taking direct admission in engineering. Most of the good and decent colleges offer admission through entrance exam so better to prep for the next year and sit in the exam then take admission.

Yes, it is nice if the placement records and facilities offered by the college are good. But make sure that you are studying in a reputed college.

Any private College won't be good for you. Some top private colleges are R. V, MANIPAL, VTU, RAMAIAH etc. But, for them you need to be good in your studies, or else have good amount of money in your pocket to take management quota.
And, while choosing private college, you have to be extra careful.

Yes, if you have good financial assistance, then it is good, but from very much reputed college, thing that matters is self-study in engineering college, as lab are not available at private college, so student prefer government college, as it had good lab facilities and qualified faculty.
