    It depends on the other alternatives available. You cannot go just for the tag NIT. Branch allocated and relative comparison between the options available as per your Jee Mains score is very important. All the best!

    It's a good idea to join NIT, Patna.But remember one thing placements are not good so not expect high packages.Also, there a very less no of companies visiting NIT, Patna compared to other NITs.

    The single benefit for you is that you will not get the hostel and you can live at home (because of terrible food of mess). Placement is average for electrical and I think it is a good branch.
