There are many mock tests/sample tests available online to check your current preparation level for GMAT. Take those and see how much more preparation is required and plan accordingly. As per the choice of city, you must look for convenience and adjustments as relocating just for coaching sometimes causes distractions as well. -
Studying for GMAT in 2nd year of your B.Com would help you gain more insight of everything and choosing institutions for the same depends on the place where you live let's take an example that you live in Bombay but you want to choose the class that are only there in Chennai then this is not a good plan if you live in Chennai then it's the best option you have with you. -
Yes it is good to start preparing for GMAT from second you will get enough to prepare. If you are staying in chennai then opt for an instute there itself which gives good coaching for GMAT.
