Is it hard to get admission at Harvey Mudd College?

<p>Yes, getting into Harvey Mudd College is quite difficult. The college has an acceptance rate of around 13%. In 2023, out of 4,440 applications received only 593 got admission. Although from 2021 Harvey has adopted the test optional policy where it does not require SAT/ACT scores for admission but admitted students typically have high SAT or ACT scores. The college does not have a minimum GPA requirement but the students admitted mostly have GPAs higher than 3. The college requires 3 letters of recommendation, one from a school counselor, one from a math or Science teacher and one from a humanities teacher.The college offers optional interviews for applicants. For Indian students English proficiency test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, DET) are a pre-requisite.<br>So getting admitted to Harvey Mudd College is hard because of its high academic standards and competitive applicant pool.</p>
