Is IT having less scope than computer engineering?

CSE and IT graduation has similar scope and opportunities. In majority of engineering colleges CSE is preferred by toppers on entrance examination. Because of which recruiters prefer CSE graduates over IT graduates.

Ajay, Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science is an undergraduate program in Engineering. This 4-year course makes the students aware about the software and hardware aspects of Computer. This course includes deep study on the database, operating system, programming languages, networking systems and so on. The Scope of the subject is much wide in the present era. As IT stands as a booming sector, the demand for software engineers and software developers is enormous. Apart from job opportunities, B. Tech in Computer Science offers ample options for higher education. Higher education increases the probability to secure more attractive career in public or private sector. Professionals working in IT sector can earn good salaries along with attractive perks. The main focus of B.Tech in Information technology is on computers and technology. It differs from Computer Science engineering in the aspect that in this the student is expected to learn management and information theory. It includes a detailed study of programming and of the software computer. During the course of B.Tech in Information Technology the student studies the methods to program electronic equipment such that it works according to the instruction given. After completing B.Tech in Information Technology the student learns to develop software which is the basic requirement of various software firms. The scope is almost similar but more opportunities are available for B.Tech CSE. Most universities are offering courses in CSE and IT after 10th, after 12th and after graduation.
