Is it helpful to do MS and advanced excel as I am going to do MBA finance?
I am in second year BBA (IB) and scored 78% in HSC science.

Yes, such skill based courses will come to your advantage in your MBA. During MBA one is required to do a lot of projects / assignments and for this MS office skills are required. Thus pursuing such a skill based course is good.
