    Lavish, being a Gamer is no viable career. Even professional gamers (which very few become) earn no more than an average programmer in US. You may look at Game Design or Games Development if you wish. You may also like to read this about the kind of preparation the best students put into this http://bit.ly/1ddUSi8. In most cases a broader learning like a combination of graphics, multimedia, web design, vfx, 2d & 3d animation, can lead to a better preparation towards launching oneself into a gaming career.     There is no relation between good college and gamer. Initiative is always taken from your side. If you wanted to become a game professional you need to learn the skills and languages. Most important fact is your commitment towards your dream.
