Is it important to have ICAR to pursue B.Sc agriculture from universities like LPU?

    LPU is already ICAR accredited, so you can apply there.

    The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture

ICAR approval is a govt. process and concerned body will take their own time however we have initiated process after successful pass out of first batch B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture (in May 2015) as per ICAR guidelines.Furthermore, ICAR is an accreditation body not a regulatory body as in case of MBBS (Medical council of India) and B.V.Sc.(Veterinary council of India) which accredit our program and advise changes (if any needed) to run the program whereas no permission is required from ICAR for such programs.At the same time, number of students from first batch have qualified for JRF test (conducted by IC

    Yes, it is good to pursue B.Sc agriculture from LPU as it is one of the top universities for this course. You shall go for M.Sc to get a job easily.

    ICAR is an accreditation body not a regulatory body as in case of MBBS (Medical council of India) and BVSC. (Veterinary council of India) which accredit our programme and advise changes (if any needed) to run the programme whereas no permission is required from ICAR for such programs. At the same time, number of students from first batch have qualified for JRF test (conducted by ICAR) and cleared with merit positions. Thereby availing ICAR awarded scholarship for doing M.Sc.     Hello Dear, ICAR accreditation proves that the University has all the facilities, resources and faculty to operate this programme with maximum productivity and the desired result. So yes it is important and helpful to pursue B.Sc. (hons. ). Agriculture course from a university which ICAR accredited. However strict ICAR requirements make it impossible for ordinary educators to gain accreditation, LPU was the first private university of its time to receive ICAR certification.     Yes, LPU is the first private university to be granted The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) accreditation by Ministry of Agriculture. B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag.     The most important aspect is that the institute running Agricultural programs must be having ICAR accreditation. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) coordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture (government. Of India).
