Is it legally valid to pursue dual degree course through distance mode?

Hello, I am a High School Teacher. I have joined M.Sc. (Math) through distance mode (session 2011-2013). Now, its compulsory to have B.Ed degree. So, I would like to join B.Ed. through distance mode? Is it possible to pursue dual course? Will it be permissible and valid legally? Please advice.

As per my understanding it is allowed if the two degrees are from two different universities, and one is from a regular college affiliated to a university and the other from a distance education university. However, you can check at the UGC website if you like. Wish you the best for your career. Rem
