Is it mandatory to appear for NATA to get admission in any architecture colleges?

Yes it is mandatory to give NATA exam as almost all colleges except NATA score. The passing score is 80/200.

Definitely Mriganka, it is compulsory to qualify NATA exam for architecture course. NATA is conducted to assess the aptitude for Architecture. The cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc. Are measured to SEE whether the applicant is fit for the job or not. There are many universities that offer B.Arch but I would share the details of the course from LPU. As an alumni of LPU, I can share the details for B.Arch in LPU. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the website, Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) for B.Arch is to Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and pass with 50% aggregate marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or pass with 50% in Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognised by Central/ State government. (with Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying marks in NATA 2021 or JEE Main (Paper II) or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/if allowed by statutory body for 2021-22) LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship.
