Yes, it is indeed mandatory to pass the JEE and get into the merit rank list for the college. Another way is when you are a district or state topper in your CBSE exams or equivalent exam. Yes, otherwise admission is not possible without passing the exam. Admission to a specific college of IHM depends upon the merit/rank (AIR) of student based on the score secured by him/her in NCHMCT JEE.
