Work experience is not necessary for most IITs and NIDs for M.Des in UI/UX or Communication Design.
A valid score in CEED, a suitable undergraduate degree, and a portfolio are enough.
Experience of six months merely waives CEED requirement, not eligibility, at IIT Hyderabad.
NID's M.Des requires 4-year bachelor's or Diploma but no work experience .
Portfolio strength and CEED performance are still important.
