LPU NEST is mandatory in case you have not appeared for IIT JEE. The IIT JEE score card can get an entry into LPU CSE. In any case it is beneficial to take LPU NEST because it can get upto 50 percent scholarship on the programme fee. LPU NEST is programme specific. The questions of LPU NEST are asked from the last exam cleared. There is a part of English language, reasoning and the subject. One should not get scarred of the test. First of all it comes under the eligibility conditions for most of the programmes. Secondly it can get scholarships.

Yes, in case one has not appeared in JEE Mains, they would have to appear for the LPU NEST which is the National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission in various programs in Lovely Professional University. As far as I Remember yes definitely it's mandatory. Because is cracking admission at LPU is not such an easy thing for CSE, no matter how much you score in Boards there are certain rules of every university, and LPU is already one of the best private university of our country hence their curriculum, methods of teachings are also unique, moreover. LPU NEST is also an eligibility test and scholarship test. Plus it's a gateway for scholarships and many students take benefit of this every year. Hence I would suggest you take this exam and get a scholarship too and admission also. I hope this helps :). .

Hi Virat, LPU NEST is mandatory for admission in B Tech CSE. However, if you have more than 80 percent in IIT JEE, you will be exempt from LPU NEST. LPU NEST is based one the last qualification and is subject specific. If you have studied well, then there is no need to worry. The best part is a student can attempt LPU NEST twice and the best result out of the two attempts will be considered. It's a proctored exam and one can even get the dates for the LPU NEST altered after informing the concerned department at a minimal fee. So do not worry, have faith in yourself. Give your best shot.
