Is it necessary to appear for LPUNEST in order to take admission in LPU for B.Tech?

To my knowledge, LPU conducts LPU NEST exam for B tech admissions or it also takes admission on the basis of JEE Mains. Hi, In order to take admission into B.Tech degree in LPU you need to qualify the eligibity criteria. Eligibility criteria is 60% in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics )+ LPUNEST For Biotechnology, Food Tech and Biomedical engineering. English Physics Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Biotech and rest all same For Chemical English Physics Chemistry and Mathematics and rest all same. LPU NEST cut off scores varies with different domains of B.Tech. JEE (Mains) exam score may be considered for scholarship but you need to qualify the eligibility criteria first. Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories: 1.1. Dear Rahul, It is not necessary to appear for the LPU NEST exam in order to take admission in LPU for the B.Tech degree programme if you have 85 or more percentile in your JEE-Mains exam 2021. You will be exempted from the LPU NEST exam if you have a good percentile in JEE-Mains. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. Hi, Due to the current situation I. e. COVID-19, the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed and the admissions are being done online. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2. For admission, you have to visit the website as admissions are being done online due to the current situation.

B.Tech programme, it is compulsory to appear in LPU NEST for eligibility. There are few programmes where LPU NEST is mandatory for eligibility. Otherwise you can register for the test in order to avail scholarship.

Rahul, if you have 90% or more in class 12 or 60% in class 12 and 80 marks in JEE, you are exempted of LPUNEST. Otherwise you have to appear for it. Last date for applying for LPUNEST is May 25, 2017.
