Is it necessary to appear for LPUNEST in order to take admission in LPU for B.Tech?

I have scored 71 marks in JEE Mains and 85-90% in class 12th CBSE board exam.

  • Of course, you need to appear for the LPU NEST as qualifying LPU NEST is mandatory for admission to B.Tech (any stream) at LPU for session 2023 and the candidate should have 60% in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics). Admissions for 2022 are closed now and there was exemption from LPU NEST on the basis of JEE Mains score in August 2022, for taking admission to B.Tech Programmes offered by LPU.     To my knowledge, LPU conducts LPU NEST exam for B tech admissions or it also takes admission on the basis of JEE Mains.     Hi, In order to take admission into B.Tech degree in LPU you need to qualify the eligibity criteria. Eligibility criteria is 60% in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics )+ LPUNEST

    Dear Rahul, It is not necessary to appear for the LPU NEST exam in order to take admission in LPU for the B.Tech degree programme if you have 85 or more percentile in your JEE-Mains exam 2021. You will be exempted from the LPU NEST exam if you have a good percentile in JEE-Mains. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself.     Hi Rahul, LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility & Entrance Test) is a National Level test conducted by LPU in Online Proctored mode this year. Means student can take up this exam online through any of the means Laptop / Desktop / Android Mobile phone. Valid score card of LPU NEST 2021 exam is mandatory for taking admission in B.Tech.     Hi, Due to the current situation I. e. COVID-19, the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed and the admissions are being done online. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2. For admission, you have to visit the website as admissions are being done online due to the current situation.

    B.Tech programme, it is compulsory to appear in LPU NEST for eligibility. There are few programmes where LPU NEST is mandatory for eligibility. Otherwise you can register for the test in order to avail scholarship.

    No, it is not. But, you can go for it to avail scholarship, so that your fee can be minimize. It will be your call.
  • Rahul, if you have 90% or more in class 12 or 60% in class 12 and 80 marks in JEE, you are exempted of LPUNEST. Otherwise you have to appear for it.
    Last date for applying for LPUNEST is May 25, 2017.

Dear, For a B.P.Ed course in LPU, anybody who holds a degree in any discipline and has an aggregate mark of not less than 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and participated in inter-college, zonal, district, or school-level sports competitions recognised by AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India is eligible.
