Hello Mandira, it is not necessary to do an internship for taking lateral entry admission in a college after passing Diploma in food technology, Lateral Entry means students who are admitted to the third semester of the respective programme (Undergraduate Engineering Programme or the Post Graduate MCA programme, based on the qualification at the time of entry) Sample 1. Lateral Entry means, admission of students directly into the second year of B.Tech.
