Is it necessary to do engineering in order to go for MBA? What should I choose after 12th if I'm interested in management?

I am interested in writing and psychology as well.

It is not necessary, but India's top B-schools like IIM - A, B, C, ISB, IMT, FMS, NMIMS, etc. prefer engineering candidate. But, for others you can apply through any background.

There is no need to pursue engineering in order to go for MBA. Graduating from any field like BA, B.Com, BCA, etc. is fine to be eligible for MBA. If you are interested in writing and psychology, then you can go for BA in psychology, and then you can go for MBA.
