It isn't mandatory and how can it be so. If you want to get into prestigious institutions, you have to get good scores. It's simple.
  • Dear Student, LPU conducts LPU-NEST for engineering. So, one needs to get good score in LPU-NEST for eligibility and scholarship. Eligibility for engineering is pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU-NEST. Yes, it is necessary to have good marks in JEE Mains if you want to secure admission to top branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University (LPU) with scholarships. While LPU conducts its own entrance test called LPUNEST for admission and scholarships, good JEE Mains scores can also be used as an alternative to qualify for admission and merit-based financial aid. High JEE scores improve your chances of getting preferred specializations and better fee waivers. Therefore, performing well in JEE Mains not only strengthens your application but also opens up more academic and financial opportunities

Moreover, in JEE Mains, the paper is very simple, one has high chances of qualifying it and the scores are accepted in all the top colleges and deemed universities of India be it NIT's, IIIT's, almost all high-end state and autonomous universities. So if you score above 240, in JEE Mains, you almost have a very decent 4 years may be critical if n
