    It is not mandatory for you to give an entrance exam for getting admission to BTech degree courses in any of the specializations in Assam. There are a lot of popular engineering colleges in India that will admit you on the basis of your performance in the Class 12 board examination, given you have scored really good marks and are able to qualify for the merit cutoff released by the college.

    The minimum eligibility for admission to BTech courses is normally around 50 to 60% marks in PCM/PCB/PCMB subjects, depending on the specialisation you're interested in. Rest, you should be able to match the merit cutoff. A few colleges may also call
