No, Maths is not a mandatory requirement but mathematics is a part of exam. Even the students from non-mathematics background are eligible to appear for the UGAT exam. However, the Quantitative Aptitude section of the UGAT exam is one of the toughest sections of UGAT and if the candidate wishes to ace the UGAT exam, then they need to brush up on your mathematics skills to get a good score in this section. Any student who has appeared for their Class 12 exams and passed from a recognised board will be eligibile to appear for the UGAT exam.

Candidates registering for UGAT BBA 2018 must ensure that they check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Candidates must note that applications that do not comply by the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials.
UGAT BBA 2018 eligibility criteria is as follows:
The candidate must have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board
The aspirants should have secured at least 50% marks at 10+2 level
Candidates waiting for their results can also apply
The aspirant should be at least 17 years of age while appearing for the exam
