Is it necessary to have maths to pursue BCA?
I am weak in mathematics and will take commerce with IP.

No, not at all. Any field student can pursue their career in BCA.

No, some colleges do not require mathematics for BCA but for MCA, mathematics is compulsory. You will have to study mathematics in computer science. Basics of mathematics and good knowledge of computer fundamentals are enough to pursue BCA.

Yes, mathematics must be there in class 12th because without mathematics you can't apply for BCA. You must have knowledge about computer also because it is based on elementary mathematics and computer.

The eligibility criteria for BCA depends on the university and it may be different for each university. So, do some query about this university where you want to get the admission.

Even I.P. University is also giving chance to non maths background students but you need to study maths as a subject in BCA for 2 years and trust me, it's not at all tough. It's upto 12th level only.

I have heard that applying for BCA, you need be a math student but still there are some colleges which take students who didn't have maths in their 12th standard. Do research on it.
