As long as your vision can be corrected to 20/20 with glasses or contacts, you will be eligible for a 1st Class FAA Medical Certificate, which makes you eligible to fly as a civilian professional pilot. This is much less restrictive than military pilot vision requirements, which is more stringent.
you should consult an ophthalmologist if correction is required with your vision. Regards.

    Dear ShivRatna,
Ideally, your eyesight should be perfect. If you don't have 'perfect' eyesight, then the Reighton be more trouble for you. During training, they check your vision power in different whether conditions. If you fail as per their parameter you may disqualify for further.
