Is it necessary to pursue MS, to be called a Dental Surgeon?

As you know, BDS is called as Bachelor of Dental Surgery but even though you cannot designate your self as Dental Surgeon unless you have Masters Degree i.e MS). So you must have MS to be called as dental surgeon.
