    Yes.
    NISM Certification Exams are qualifying exams to perform a specific job function. For example, you will be required to pass NISM Series VA: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Exam to sell mutual fund products.
    Specifically for Research Analysts, you can start working as an analyst, but you will not be able to publish any research report or make any research recommendation unless you pass the NISM Series XV: Research Analyst Certification.
