Is it necessary to take an entrance exam for a B.Ed?

No it's not compulsory. You can get admission to BEd courses without taking any entrance exam depending on the college/university.
Further in the case of distance BEd - no entrance exams are needed. Students can get direct admission to a Distance B.Ed course in colleges like YCMOU, MPBOU, and IGNOU.
