No there's no need of coaching for GATE preparation if you're clear about the concepts and topics. Evaluate yourself by solving the sample question papers and online tests. Coaching for any Entrance examination depends on your Capacity . I would suggest first solve the previous Year Questions to understand where you stand . Then you can think about Coaching or self study .
