It is imperative for you to take national level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, etc. You have to necessarily aim at the top 30 B Schools in India for your degree to be accepted by the corporate world. To get admission to top institutes and B Schools including IIMs and IITs, State owned Colleges etc, a score in CMAT,CAT,MAT, ATMA-AIMS or equivalent is required. Autonomous institutes offer certifications entitled MBA or Masters programme and may not demand an entrance score. A good iadvice would be

If u r planning to take admission into a AICTE approved college then u need to appear in any of these entrance exams like CAT,MAT ,CMAT or XAT examination
