Is it necessary to take up science in 11th if you want to do actuary?

I have finished my 10 th science n secured 83% I havent decided what to do . I wanna know more about actuary ,is it necessary to take up science stream or his commerce ok? Im gonna do it ISC syllabus

If you are contemplating a career in actuary, you need to have a very strong understanding of economics and statistics. If you take any insurance company, the backbone is the actuarial department. They are the one's who come out with new policies.
