Is it necessary to write CLAT exam if you want to study in another state?

For admission to NLU'S, you need to give the entrance exam known as CLAT. Some of NLU's are amongst Top Institute in India for Law Education. But, it is not compulsory for every college. There are several other institute and colleges, which provide you with a BA LLB/BBA LLB/LLB degree with decent package and exposure. For admission to those colleges, you need to clear their eligibility criteria. For every college the criteria is different.
