Is it necessary to write JEE Mains to join UPES, Dehradun for petroleum engineering?
Which are the best private colleges that I can get without writing JEE? How about going for Lords or UTM College? Are these the best colleges?

No, it is not necessary for you to write JEE Mains to get into UPES. You can get admission there on the basis of their internal test. They also consider the marks of board exam.
