    The question is bit broken. If you are asking for UGC NET then the answer is different and if you are referring to NEET- Medical Entrance Exam, then it is going to be different. I can answer the FIRST one only. UGC NET is the exam that makes you eligible to join HigherEd, Colleges/Universities to teach the subject you qualify in NET/JRF. If you apply for Ph.D. after doing the UGC NET then you are exempted from the Entrance test but the Interview shall be there. If you are a JRF holder, then you straightaway get admission in Ph.D. as the scholarship is given by the UGC.
