It is possible to crack Mains with 1 year of coaching and hard work. You are required to study 11th and 12th carefully and you will bear the fruit of your hard work. Studying CBSE is good, but it has a lot of content related to JEE and you can score better. -

Always remember "Where there is will, there is a way”. Never lose sight of this and you will be a winner. Yes, there are plenty of cases wherein students who have dropped a year after 12th have cracked JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced.
