Is it possible for an average admission to get admission in top B-School?

An average student can get into top B-School if he/she clears selection process in B-schools which generally consists of : A. Past Academic record. B. Scores in entrance tests. C. Group Discussion. D. Personal Interview. E. Work experience. Please note that each B-schools shortlists candidates for second stage of selection process which may be independent of each other. The process may include - Written Test. - Group Discussions. - Personal Interviews. Performance in various management entrance tests is an important component in the admission process. B-schools may use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across B-schools.

Yes this is possible. One of my friend is doing MBA in Lovely professional University, its india's one of the top B- schools. He cleared its entrance exam and he is getting good scholarship too. Alternatively you need to get good percentile in CAT, MAT, XAT to get into government top institutes.

Yes an average person can get into top b schools, provided u have atleast 50% marks in 10th 12th and graduation. entrance score matters the most and after that 10% weightage is given to academic, 60% to entrance score, 20% to personal interview and 10% to group discussion/ group activity. if a person having 99 in cat with 70% and another person with 98 in cat but 90%, the former guy wud have an advantage as his cat score is better.
