Is it possible for an average student to crack GATE exam after B.Tech in ECE?

I am asking for cracking GATE without going for coaching.

The only answer to your question is YES. Every one who can out an sincere effort can excel in GATE exam and I can give you numerous examples for itfirst is me (AIR73), then my college senior who secured AIR 34, another friend with AIR 32 and so on. It is pretty much possible for you to achieve good score in GATE without coaching if you study hard for it by making it your only aim.
