Is it possible to appear for compartment exams if I fail in 3 subjects in Class 12, including one main subject and two additional subjects?

    Actually, it depends on your board rules. Normally, if you have failed one or two subjects, you can hold compartment exams to try and clear them. But to fail three subjects—one of which is a core subject—normally means that you may not be allowed to appear for compartments in all three. Most boards also restrict the number of subjects that can be cleared through compartment exams, and if the core subject is one of them, it may get even more complicated. I would recommend asking your school or your board rulebook so that you get a clearer idea of your options.
