In this case, you can be an officer, only if you are a medical MBBS degree holder. Else, you have to crack at least SSB interview to be an officer.

No, you should appear in the UPSC exam for NDA and if you want to become an officer in Indian Armed Forces then SSB is the first stage you should clear.

No, it is not possible to join Indian Army, as officer without cracking NDA or SSB. SSB is must to be cracked to join Indian Army as officer. You can get direct SSB call on basis of your class 12th result by applying for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

There is no option available to join Indian Army without giving NDA or SSB exam. The other way is that you can pursue B.Tech or BE, and then you can apply for Indian Army, but in that case you have to clear SSB.

NDA 2 is hard in terms of difficulty level. It is conducted for candidates who have passed Class 12. The test comprises two papers. The total marks allotted are 900. Selection is done based on the written exam and SSB Interview.

NDA marks are rounded off up to two decimal digits for all stages. This done by applying the standard rounding off principle,
wherever applicable. While applying the tie-breaking principles, the rounded-off marks upto two decimal digits are considered for resolving all tie cases.

In case the aggregate final marks are equal then securing more marks in the written exam are placed in higher rank. Candidates securing more marks in Paper 2 (GAT) are placed in higher rank. Age is also given preference while resolving the ties.
